Cell Phone Directory (Supts Only)
We are finding that there are more situations where we, at M.A.S.S., or the Commissioner need to reach you to resolve situations and give support after hours or during time when you might not be in your office. For this reason, we are hoping to compile a list of superintendent cell phone number. Please know this list will be kept private and only used by the issues listed above or if we need to connect one superintendent to another during a situation. Thank you for considering providing your number. – Restricted Access Document Here To add your info to this list or to update, please email Erica at ehedrick@massupt.org
Supt Salary Survey
Please do not share with other parties, this information is for superintendents only to review and utilize for negotiations, conversation; etc. You may pull any information you need, but please do not share. New salary survey results are typically available in December.
Thank you to all who participated and provided data. – Restricted Access Folder Here
Listserv Guidelines Reminders
We maintain the M.A.S.S. list serve for the benefit of all superintendents/assistant superintendents. The information flow through technology can be intense and unwieldy. Many issues, queries and concerns are expressed on the list serve. M.A.S.S. wishes it to be for relevant and timely information which supports the membership. In this regard we provide several simple guidelines:
1.Reply to sender only – DO NOT REPLY TO ALL
We understand there might be topics that you think might be better as reply all, but it clogs up inboxes and hinders the overall effectiveness of the listserv as it causes many inboxes to classify our listserv as spam. Participants are encouraged to collect the data and redistribute either through a quick survey or reply only to the send. MASS is always happy to try to help collect information to redistribute. If there is also a topic you are also interested in, you can connect with the individual posting to get the info or make connections. BCC is also a good option to avoid the replay all function, but this will need to be approved by the admin before being send (typically very quick as long as I am in the office).
2.No Job Postings or Requests for Candidates – Use the Job Site (https://www.massupt.org/post-a-job/)
As part of membership, any district is welcome to use this resource to post a job. Please let me know if you have any questions.
3. Please, NOT FOR PERSONAL USE
4. Be judicious in your comments – the audience is a large and varied group
5. Reminder on what listservs are available. – if you are not part of a specific group, you are not able to post to the listserv.
Supers@lists.massupt.org– All membership included associate and retired
Supersonly@lists.massupt.org– Supts only listserv
AsstSupers@lists.massupt.org– Asst Supts membership only listserv
6. There should be no advertising or promotion of programs by vendors or/and members. If you have something you think would be beneficial to membership please contact Erica Hedrick to get approval to be added to the newsletter. Please note failure to follow #6 will make your account a moderated account.
7. Information shared on the listserv should be kept confidential unless otherwise noted. The listserv needs to be a safe space to ask questions, help, feedback; etc.
