At the ceremony for its 15th Annual Launch and Service Day on Saturday, January 25, Project 351 honored M.A.S.S. as a Service Hero for the association’s longtime support.
Carolyn Casey, Founder and Executive Director of Project 351, said, “As it was in the beginning in 2011, it remains true today: Anything we’re able to achieve at Project 351 is only because of the early faith and steadfast belief of M.A.S.S. Thank you for our very special 15-year partnership. We are ever grateful for your belief in our eighth graders and for all the ways you make our mission possible.”
Project 351 is a youth-led movement for change powered by a unified team of 8th grade Ambassadors representing Massachusetts’ 351 cities and towns. Over a year’s term, Ambassadors develop the courage, knowledge, and skills to make a positive difference in their hometown and the world. Since 2011, 5,588 Ambassadors have positively impacted more than 1.4 million neighbors through Project 351 service.
Representing M.A.S.S. at the ceremony, which was held at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum in Boston, were Mary Bourque, Executive Director; Tom Scott, Director of Financials and Member Services; and Christine McGrath, Director of Support Networks.
Also in attendance at the ceremony were Governor Maura Healey, Lieutenant Governor Kim Driscoll, and Secretary of Education Patrick Tutwiler.
